When a child is sick, families need to be close. Ronald McDonald House Southwestern Ontario makes that possible, but it takes support to keep it that way. Every gift, from individuals and businesses alike, helps a family stay together when it matters most.
The Goulets are from Oliphant, a small community on Lake Huron. They were finishing up Christmas preparations, just a week away, when a doctor’s appointment turned into a drive to London. Within days, their son Dominic was in surgery.
They didn’t want to leave his side, not even for a night. A support worker suggested they visit Ronald McDonald House Southwestern Ontario. What they found was a place just 164 steps from Dominic’s bedside, close enough to matter.
For 145 nights, that’s exactly what it was. “Ronald McDonald House is our second home,” they say.
